LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON: BY AIR

From the UK: carriers include easyJet, Ryanair and Flybe. Flight times are about 2 hours from London and southern England, and 2.5 hours from northern England and Scotland.

Within Europe: try Ryanair, Lufthansa, Aer Lingus and Iberia.

From the USA: fly to Paris or Nice, then take a domestic Air France flight or catch the train (see below).

By train from the UK: From Lille Europe (connections with Eurostar) or from Paris Gare de Lyon, the TGV races down to Avignon, Nimes, Montpellier or Marseilles; the latter service then carries on to Cannes and Antibes en route to Nice. Journey times from London, changing at Lille Europe, are:
Avignon: 6 hours
Nimes / Montpellier: 7-7.5 hours
