January-May are the driest months but also the peak tourist season. The temperature is fairly consistent throughout the year with daily highs averaging 78-85F. The rainy season is from June-November, with July being the wettest month. The Grenadines are somewhat drier than St Vincent.
On St Vincent, the main cultural event of the year is the carnival known as Vincy Mas. Held in late June/early July, it's 10 days of colourful parades, calypso, steel band music and dancing. Kingstown on St Vincent hosts a series of street parades in the run up to Christmas. Bequia has a big regatta over the Easter weekend, and a music festival in January.

FLYING TO ST. VINCENT:
Scheduled flights to Argyle International Airport from Toronto (Air Canada Rouge), Miami (American Airlines), New York (Caribbean Airlines); and from other Caribbean islands (LIAT, Mustique Airways, SVG Air).
Bequia, Carouan, Union Island and Mustique also have very small airports.
On St Vincent you can rent a car (US$60-100 a day), hire a taxi, or jump on one of the brightly painted, music playing minibuses.
The easiest way to get to the other islands from St Vincent is by boat. A ferry to Bequia operates several times a day between Kingstown on St Vincent and Port Elizabeth on Bequia (9 miles away) and takes about 1 hour. Local power boats can also be arranged for small groups to go to other islands. Day trips to Mustique can easily be arranged from Bequia.
