Ericeira is an unmissable stop on the Lisbon coast, attracting a cosmopolitan crowd of surfers, yogis, foodies and nature lovers. Its wild, rugged beauty, dramatic cliff-top walks, unspoilt beaches, and world surfing reserve status make it a destination unto itself – and it’s less than an hour from Lisbon, so if you like your city break with a side of pristine nature, this place is not to be missed.
Immerso Hotel is truly a hidden gem, discreetly built to blend into the rolling hills around it, which are otherwise home to some scattered farmhouses and the occasional flock of sheep. Everything about this place is designed with utmost sensitivity to the area, and, as the name suggests, it’s about immersing guests in authentic Ericeiran nature and hospitality. From the quietly luxurious hotel design to the spacious rooms with pleasing extra touches (handwoven design accents, eco-friendly toiletries, floor-to-ceiling windows), this is a space to slow down, and reconnect with yourself and nature. Enjoy fine dining, go for a surf, hit the spa, or do absolutely nothing at all except breathe the fresh sea air from the jaw-dropping terraces. This really is a five-star breath of fresh ocean air.
